Abhisek Panda Successfully Overcomes 38 Runners To Clinch AndyzFC Week #21 5K Weekly Sunday Series Title

It’s the 21st week for AndyzFC 5K Sunday Tournaments and the weekly series seems to be increasing both in popularity and strength. AndyzFC Founder – Andy Morgan has recently taken a step to give aspiring players an opportunity to learn this game correctly, besides according poker a status it deserves in the country, by opening a new Sports Academy.

This week Abhisek Panda (cover image) was the latest champion to emerge at the weekly Sunday series at AndyzFC, where he successfully battled 38 runners and took the title.

Tournament Recap

Week 21 witnessed 38 players fighting for the title at AndyzFC. Regular tournament pro Abhisek Panda, who couldn’t play any of the previous events due to his busy schedule, made his debut in style, by taking down the tournament.

The tournament was slow-paced, for a change, as there were only a few knockouts before the first break. However we saw a double elimination just before the final table was formed.

Vidwath Shetty’s got cracked by Abhisek Panda’s , as the community ran out .

On the other table, money went in preflop and action was between Prasad who had and Anant Krishna who tabled . Prasad was behind on flop, but the turn gave him the lead and brick river completed the elimination. Anant Krishna got leaderboard points for tenth place as he was eliminated after Vidwath.

The final table saw four new faces and started with the following stacks-

The final table pace was in sync with the usual pace of the tourney, slow and tight. A full one-hour was played out before the first elimination on the final table.

At 800/1600, Arun Poply jammed from early position with , Sawinay called for his tournament life with . Arun rivered a King on the board , leading to first elimination of the final table.

Yashas N announced all in from button with . Big blind S.P. Behera took his time but finally made the call with . Behera got a suckout where his pair got busted on the river as Yashas’ six high took down the pot on the board . Behera was out at eight place.

It was Pramod Srinivasa’ turn next to join the railbirds as he went all in with . Arun Poply on the button called with . The flop of gave Arun the lead. Brick turn and river completed another elimination, where Srinivasa busted at seventh place.

The elimination spree continued with Chethan Manjunath busting in sixth place. On his final hand of the tournament, Chathan opened to 5K with . Abhisek Panda went all in with , Chethan called and took the lead on flop flop and was looking in good shape to double-up on the turn . His hopes came shattering down as the river gave Abhisek trips and the pot.

Another suckout made Arun Poply the bubble boy, when his got cracked by Yashas N who snap called Arun’s 3-bet all in with and hit a one card flush on community . Poply hit the rails at fifth place

Avinit Bagri who was the chip leader when the final table started, was the next casualty when he ran into Prasad’s with his . The board ran out and Bagri took fourth place for 10,000 points.

At 2K/4K Yashas N announced all in from button with . Abhisek Panda made the call from small blind with . Safe community left Abhisek Panda and Prasad for the heads-up battle while Yashas received 20,000 points for his third place finish in the tournament.

The heads-up duel was a short affair and the final hand came in just one level of play. The final hand saw Abhisek announcing all-in from button with , and Prasad making the call with . The flop gave Abhisek the lead and the turn and river crowned him the champion.
