Daniel Colman (cover image) continued his winning streak by taking down the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship title for over $1.4 million today. The 23-year-old American poker pro is in on a heater of a lifetime and has already accumulated over $20 million in live tournament winnings in the last six months. This is the biggest achievement by a life tournament player ever but most of it can be largely attributed to his $15.306 million win at the 2014 WSOP Big One for One Drop Event.

Colman first jumped into the spotlight in April this year where he won the EPT Grand Final Super High Roller event at Monte Carlo for $ 2,127,398. His most notable win came at WSOP 2014 where he defeated Team PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu heads-up in the $1 million buy-in Big One for Drop Event.

The 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Main Event was Colman’s seventh final table appearance this year and he certainty made it count by going the distance. He defeated Mike Leah in the heads-up match to pick up $1,446,710 in prize money, which is his fourth seven figure score this year.

With this win, Colman has achieved yet another milestone by taking third position on the all time live tournament earnings list just behind poker legends Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfandiari.

2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO), one of North America’s largest and most prestigious tournaments created quite a flurry in the poker circles when it recorded a massive $2.5 Million overlay.

The showcase event, $5,300 Main Event kicked off on August 28th and it took nearly a week to crown a champion. The three starting flights drew 1,499 runners and included several past WSOP bracelet winners, WPT Champions, high-stakes grinders, and many local players.

The field included seven WSOP Main Event winners with Huck Seed, Carlos Mortensen, Scotty Nguyen, Jamie Gold, Joe Cada, Greg Merson, and reigning champ Ryan Riess all joining on separate entry flights.

Indian`s however had a good enough reason to rejoice at the great value the tournament offered with our very own prodigy, Team Mentor Aditya “Intervention” Agarwal joining the event. Intervention made it through to Day 3 of the event however, a rather brutal suck out with pocket kings against an opponents pocket queens shattered his dreams. Intervention never quite recovered from this beat and eventually finished 30th for $39,910!

The pace of the action was fast and furious throughout the tournament and Day 4 saw the last 18 players return, to play down to the live-streamed final table in the Paradise Live Theater. The day ended after 12 eliminations with the field down to a six-handed final table that included poker pros like Mike Leah and Joe Kuether, WPT Jacksonville champion Shawn Cunix, Martin Hanowski, and 2010 November Niner John Dolan and of course the star of the tournament, Dan Colman.

Colman took the lead early in the day and held on to it for the most part, barring a brief period where Leah raced past him during the three-handed play.

Colman entered the heads-up battle with a marginal 5-to-4-chip advantage over Leah but soon increased that to a 3.5-to-1 advantage.

On the final hand of the tournament, Leah raised to 60,000 with and Colman three-bet to 1,500,000 with . Leah then moved all in for about 11.6 million and Colman snap called. The board ran out , pairing Colamn’s kings to give him the championship title and a whooping $1.4 million in prize money. The runner-up of the tournament Mile Leah too had a memorable experience as he bagged his first ever seven-figure score of $1,047,638.
