Dates For Key PokerStars Championships and Festivals in 2017 Announced

Poker players and lovers all over the world can mark the days on the 2017 calendar as the main dates and schedules of PokerStars Championship and PokerStars Festival stops next year were announced by PokerStars on Thursday, Nov 24.

Edgar Stuchly, Director of Live Events at PokerStars said, “PokerStars has an incredibly rich live events heritage, having hosted more than 560 tournament series, attracted more than 800,000 entries and awarded more than $1.5 billion in prize money. The PokerStars Championship and PokerStars Festival events are an enhancement of the existing PokerStars sponsored live tours, helping to take our vision for live poker to a whole new level.”

The PokerStars sponsored live events in 2017 will include:

  • PokerStars Championship Bahamas, Jan. 6-14

  • PokerStars Festival London, Jan. 22-29

  • PokerStars Festival Rozvadov, March 2-13

  • PokerStars Championship Panama, March 10-20

  • PokerStars Championship Macau, March 30–April 9

  • PokerStars Championship presented by Monte-Carlo Casino, April 25-May 5

  • PokerStars Championship Barcelona, Aug. 15-27

The first half of the New Year will see a combination of new and familiar events with the world’s most popular poker brand making a comeback to the Bahamas for the 13th year in a row, which will inaugurate the PokerStars Championship Bahamas. The event is slated from January 6 to 14.

The Championship then moves to Panama in March, followed by events in Macau and Monte Carlo in the month of April. Barcelona stays on the calendar with an event in August.

PokerStars Festivals have more affordable tournaments scheduled in London and Rozvadov. While the first festival event will take place at London’s West End from January 22-29 at The Hippodrome Casino, the latter will be held at the famous King’s Casino from March 2-13.

 

PokerStars Festival London

The eight-day London event boasts of 22 tournaments, including the flagship £400,000 guaranteed, £990 PokerStars Festival London Main Event, old favorites such as the £2,200 High Roller and exciting new tournament formats such as the PokerStars Super Deep re-entry event that begins on January. 23.

Schedule highlights will include:

  • PokerStars Festival High Roller: January 24-25 – £2,200

  • PokerStars Festival Main Event: January 25-29 – £990

  • PokerStars Cup: January 28-29 – £330

  • NL Hold’em Ladies Event: January 29 – £170

 

PokerStars Festival Rozvadov

The Rozvadov event comprises over 30 tournaments spread across 12 days, including the new format Super Deepstack re-entry event and the €500,000 guaranteed PokerStars Festival Rozvadov Main Event.

Schedule highlights will include:

  • PokerStars Deepstack Open: March 2-6 – €275

  • PokerStars Super Deep: March 5-8 – €550

  • Kings High Roller: March 8-9 – €5,300

  • PokerStars Cup: March 11-13 – €330

  • PokerStars Festival High Roller: March 12-13 – €2,200

  • PokerStars Festival Main Event: March 9-13 – €1,100

 

PokerStars Championship Panama

After Bahamas, the second PokerStars Championship event from March 10-20 will see 56 tournaments in the Sortis Hotel & Casino in Panama City.

Schedule highlights will include:

  • PokerStars Open: March 10-14 – $220

  • PokerStars Cup: March 15-19 – $440

  • PokerStars National Championship: March 11-14 – $1,100

  • PokerStars Championship Main Event: March 14-20 – $5,300

  • PokerStars Championship High Roller: March 18-20 – $10,300

  • PokerStars Championship Super High Roller: March 11-14 – $50,000

 

PokerStars Championship Macau

Macau’s premier entertainment hub, the City of Dreams, will play host to the 11-day festival from March 30 – April 9.

Schedule highlights will include:

  • PokerStars National Championship: March 30-April 3 – HKD8,800

  • No Limit Hold’em: March 30-April 2 – HKD82,400

  • PokerStars Cup: March 31-April 3 – HKD3,300

  • PokerStars Championship Super High Roller: April 1-3 – HKD400,000

  • No Limit Hold’em: April 1-2 – HKD16,500

  • PokerStars Championship Main Event: April 3-9 – HKD42,400

  • No Limit Hold’em: April 4 – HKD206,000

  • PokerStars Championship PLO High Roller: April 5-6 – HKD82,400

  • PokerStars Championship High Roller: April 7-9 – HKD 103,000

  • PokerStars Open: April 7-9 – HKD2,200

 

PokerStars Championship presented by Monte-Carlo Casino

The world`s best poker players will compete over 11 days of high-octane tournament action at the glamorous Monte Carlo Bay Casino Hotel & Resort from April 25 – May 5.

Schedule highlights will include:

  • PokerStars Open: May 3-5 – €220

  • PokerStars Cup: April 26-29 – €440

  • PokerStars National Championship: April 26-30 – €1,100

  • PokerStars National High Roller: April 28-29 – €2,200

  • PokerStars Championship Main Event: April 29-May 5 – €5,300

  • Opening NLH: April 25-27 – €10,300

  • PLO: May 1-3 – €10,300

  • PokerStars Championship High Roller: May 3-5 – €25,750

  • Single day NLH: April 30 – €50,000
