Poker players and lovers all over the world can mark the days on the 2017 calendar as the main dates and schedules of PokerStars Championship and PokerStars Festival stops next year were announced by PokerStars on Thursday, Nov 24.
Edgar Stuchly, Director of Live Events at PokerStars said, “PokerStars has an incredibly rich live events heritage, having hosted more than 560 tournament series, attracted more than 800,000 entries and awarded more than $1.5 billion in prize money. The PokerStars Championship and PokerStars Festival events are an enhancement of the existing PokerStars sponsored live tours, helping to take our vision for live poker to a whole new level.”
The PokerStars sponsored live events in 2017 will include:
The first half of the New Year will see a combination of new and familiar events with the world’s most popular poker brand making a comeback to the Bahamas for the 13th year in a row, which will inaugurate the PokerStars Championship Bahamas. The event is slated from January 6 to 14.
The Championship then moves to Panama in March, followed by events in Macau and Monte Carlo in the month of April. Barcelona stays on the calendar with an event in August.
PokerStars Festivals have more affordable tournaments scheduled in London and Rozvadov. While the first festival event will take place at London’s West End from January 22-29 at The Hippodrome Casino, the latter will be held at the famous King’s Casino from March 2-13.
The eight-day London event boasts of 22 tournaments, including the flagship £400,000 guaranteed, £990 PokerStars Festival London Main Event, old favorites such as the £2,200 High Roller and exciting new tournament formats such as the PokerStars Super Deep re-entry event that begins on January. 23.

The Rozvadov event comprises over 30 tournaments spread across 12 days, including the new format Super Deepstack re-entry event and the €500,000 guaranteed PokerStars Festival Rozvadov Main Event.

PokerStars Championship Panama
After Bahamas, the second PokerStars Championship event from March 10-20 will see 56 tournaments in the Sortis Hotel & Casino in Panama City.

Macau’s premier entertainment hub, the City of Dreams, will play host to the 11-day festival from March 30 – April 9.
