World’s largest poker site – PokerStars as promised is adding speed to the game after the fastest man of the planet Usain Bolt (cover image) joined its rooster of ambassadors. The online giant has been looking to expand the use of athletes and celebrity endorsers and on August 14 the site announced the opening of the first celebrity-branded tables in company’s history, the Zoom Usain Bolt Edition.

The special tables are standard Zoom tables that are linked to a series of promotional rewards running from August 14 till September 24 offering players a chance to win upto $15,000.

Zoom Poker is PokerStars’ take on fast-fold poker where players join a large “cloud” of players and are seated at a table. Players can choose to play the hand, or instantly fold out of turn and be moved to another hand at another randomly generated table with other Zoom players. Zoom Poker allows players to see many more hands than they can at regular ring games, on average 200 hands an hour or even more!

The special Usain Bolt Edition tables will offer players the chance to complete daily and weekend “Road to Glory” challenges each weekend through Sept. 24. Players can win up to $5,000 in the weekend challenges if the odds fall their way, but those rewards can be tripled by hitting each of the weekday challenges leading up to the weekend challenge.

Tournament players have something to rejoice about too as till Oct. 16, PokerStars will run $1,500 Zoom freerolls three times per day, with tickets given away as both new deposit and reload bonuses.

PokerStars Director of Marketing David Carrion said, “Zoom is the world’s fastest poker game and is one of the most popular games as it gives a fast, intense poker experience and that adrenaline rush. Usain Bolt is the ideal fit for this game and having the world’s greatest sprinter on board will bring a whole host of players to the game.”

Bolt just finished up his farewell race with a bronze medal at the World Championships, saying he wanted to spend more time enjoying life and being around his family. It appears that the sprinting legend will spend some time promoting the sport on PokerStars.

The eight-time Olympic gold winner in the PokerStars press release expressed his excitement. “I’m very excited to bring my special edition of Zoom to my fans and poker players around the globe. It is a non-stop poker game which is fun and competitive. I hope everyone enjoys it.”

He even tweeted about the first celebrity branded tables on the website while continuing with the social media battle with ace comedian Kevin Hart under the #GameOn –
