After being the world’s most popular online poker destination, PokerStars is now truly gunning to capture live players across the globe as the City of Dreams casino in Manila hosts the first ever PokerStars Festival Manila which will run for 11 days. The series started from July 28 and is slated to run till August 7, 2017.

The $1.2 Billion Casino, City of Dreams Manila is one among the four casinos that form an international gaming hub at PAGCOR Entertainment City precinct in Paranaque City. The hub seeks to provide the eastern world with a gaming center, such as the likes of Las Vegas, with all international entertainment facilities. An impressive ballroom is reserved for the tournament area, with a separate poker room for live cash games. The 6.2-hectare site has six hotel towers and is managed by Macau Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd.

Previously a hot stop on the APPT, PokerStars Festival Manila will now take over as the headliner for poker in the Philippines and is the latest series in the long list of unforgettable events that have taken place in the stunning venue. Started in 2007, PokerStars LIVE quickly developed into an Asian poker hub, regularly hosting the biggest and richest events in the Philippines’ history, alongside action-packed daily cash games.

As expected, a strong Indian contingent is flying to the eastern hemisphere to attend the series and a few who are confirmed to be in attendance are Adda52 pro Kunal Patni, PokerMet pro Dhaval Mudgal, Akash Shekhar, Viren Kapur, Keshav Chadha, Kanishka Samant, Abhineet Jain and Arjun Dhingra.

The 11-day festival will host a total of 56 tournaments and satellites kicking off with the ₱16,500 PokerStars Open (₱4 million guarantee). The series will culminate with the ₱55,000 Main Event guaranteeing a massive ₱20 million prize pool which starts on August 3.
