After a successful series in Barcelona, partypoker Millions has returned for its next edition in North America. Scheduled to run from 21st April – 2nd May, the series is set to host six events at the Playground Poker Club, Montreal, Canada. The tournament boasts a huge CAD $15 Million guaranteed prize pool across the series – headlined by the CAD $10 Million guaranteed Main Event.

The C$10,300 buy-in Millions High Roller recently crowned a champion with David Eldridge (cover image) topping the 80 entries to win the title after two days of poker action.

Only 26 players returned for the final day with Darren Elias leading the way. With top 11 places to be paid, it was a tough start to the day for the players trying to make it in the money.

Notables who couldn’t make the cut included Niall Farrell, Martin Jacobson, partypoker Team pro Kristen Bicknell, Anthony Zinno, and Mike Watson. The start of the day chip leader Elias too became short stacked and busted before the money bubble.

Gal Yifrach became the unfortunate money bubble and was followed by Marc MacDonnell, Louis Boutin, and Christopher Kruk before the eight-handed final table was formed.

It was a stacked final table that had poker superstars Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Chris Moorman and Victor Ramdin, in the running for the title.

Final Table Action

Coming into the final table, Eldridge held the chip lead and the first player to fall was Chris Moorman. It was Ami Alibay who flat called with pocket queens and Moorman pushed all in with . With no help on the board, Moorman settled for an eighth place finish.

After a good two hours of play, Alibay became the next casualty at the final table, courtesy Eldridge.

Parker Talbot then moved his stack in the middle with and found himself up against Kevin Hobbs’ . Once again no respite on the board sent Talbot packing in sixth place.

Eldridge continued his hot run as he took the next elimination as well. It was Viktor Blom who got axed after his pocket sevens were no good against Eldridge’s pocket jacks ending the former`s tournament run in fifth place.

By this time Eldridge held more than half of chips in play.Jon Van Fleet was the next one out as he defended a raise from Victor Ramdin. Van Fleet flopped a pair and moved all in, only to run into the pocket kings of Ramdin that cut short his tournament life in fourth place.

With Eldridge holding the chip lead, it was Ramadin who was trying to consolidate – in the process he eliminated Kevin Hobbs who was already the short stack. Hobbs got all his chips in the middle with ace-nine and was up against the king-jack of Ramdin. The flop paired Ramadin’s jack, relegating Hobbs to the rail in third place.

Going into heads-up play, Eldridge held a commanding chip lead and the last hand saw both the players all-in preflop. Eldridge held pocket tens against Ramdin’s ace-three and the flop came ten high, declaring Eldridge the High Roller champion.
